Change layers using a list: This
program is used to set the layer display status in all the objects listed
in a simple text file. The SmartAssembly dialog box is used to enter the
name of the layer and the name of the list of objects to be processed. Each
object is saved after the layer display status is set. Family table programs: The first
program in this video is used to verify the family table instances of all
the objects in the current assembly. In this program, no dialog box used.
The second program in this video is used to open the generic model of the
selected instance. This is not possible with regular Pro/ENGINEER. Calculate mass properties: This
program is used to set the density and calculate the mass properties of all
the objects in the current assembly. The program can quickly populate
parameters in each part for weight and volume, and the results can be
displayed in the Pro/ENGINEER browser window. Export parts: This program is used to
export all the parts in the current assembly. Choose IGES, STEP, or STL. Export drawings: This program is used
to export all the drawings related to the components in the current
assembly to DXF. If the assembly contains family table instances, the
drawings of the generic models are exported. Rename components: This program is
used to rename components of the current assembly. Drawings of the
associated models are automatically renamed. Chamfers and rounds: These programs
are used to create chamfers and rounds in an assembly. These are part level
features being added to the parts from the assembly level.
